We’ve Expanded!

On the heels of our third birthday celebration, one thing is clear…we are bursting at the seams! From our member mat wall & bins to our peak class times to our weekly & monthly offerings…we could use some extra space!

With that in mind, I’ve been on the lookout for more square footage for some time now. Since we *love* our downtown location, we knew it would have to be something very close and very special. Turns out we didn’t have to look far. This fall, we will be opening a second room right next door (to the left of the studio if you’re looking at it from the parking lot). We are pumped to grow our branches right in our favorite on-peninsula home base!

As with all things PYC, it’s not just about doing “more” – it’s about doing things with more intention.

So I wanted to share what you can look forward to in our adjoining second studio space:

  • Bringing Iyengar to the peninsula with weekly Iyengar classes

  • Launching a new chair yoga offering – but think of it as 🌶️ spicy 🌶️ chair yoga

  • Offering more regular Reiki, breathwork and meditation classes

  • Leveling up an immersive PYC Sweat experience (think going to the club, but…to workout…)

  • Providing Free Beginner’s Yoga

  • Broadening our Yoga Student & Teacher Trainings

  • Continuing to support a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst colleagues through offerings for certified movement teachers

  • More room for classes, workshops, trainings, private classes, merch and yes, more room for member mats :)

Whew – that is A LOT to get excited about. But you know what makes us most excited? It is the fact that our team, students, partners and Portland community have collectively shown up in this studio so that we have the opportunity to intentionally grow and continue to share the practices of yoga.

A big thank you to everyone who has been a part of this collective, for co-creating this space, and for taking your yoga off of the four corners of your mat and beyond the (soon-to-be larger) walls of our sweet studio.

I am honored to continue to do this work and be in service of my team and our community.

With overwhelming gratitude and love,

<3 Jess
